weekend adventures: little bit of farm

Sometimes life moves so fast we forget to stop and breathe and appreciate the natural beauty around us.
This weekend I remembered how amazingly gorgeous my mom and dads farm is. I am a lucky girl.

a birds eye view.
well kinda.
if a bird was perched on a fence post in the top field.
{the new green tin roof makes me smile}

you can see more farm pictures here.

hedge apple hunting

I spent Saturday morning hanging out with my favorites.
We went hedge apple hunting and drank chocolate milk.
I came out on the porch and found Annie sharing her milk with her brother.
Isn't this the cutest thing ever?

cuter than Christmas.

they're only 14 months apart and inseparable.

then we went on the search of  hedge apples
(they are supposed to keep spiders out of your house in the winter)

and I love this moment that annie and my mom were having in the kitchen.
she must get all of her fashion sense from me: pj pants and cowboy boots

how was your holiday/weekend?

better late than never

some more photos I took for my cousin Tony's "day after" session.
all of these were taken on my parents farm.
Dad told me he was thinking about repainting the white barn.
I made him promise to leave one side cracked and peeling because it makes such a pretty backdrop.

my mom wanted to go to bingo for her birthday

yep Bingo. that's what we do for excitement in the country.

but we took Annie, and she might be the best 2-year old bingo player ever.

with the best hair.

Sunday we went to my brother and sister-in-law's farm
and spent all day in the sheep barn picking out show lambs.
I was pretty much covered in lamb crud so i didn't take any pictures.
They have the sweetest goat with 3 babies
and they were playing king of the mountain.
it looked a lot like this.

the rest of the weekend was pretty calm
raggedy anne got her dress washed.
(andy is a pimp)
my Aunt Opal made me these dolls when I was little

scout played.
she has started monster trucking me in the
mornings when she's hungry or needs to go out.
it's a good thing i'm a morning person.

and then she slept
a lot.

bonus*
I did find a cute I Love You Mom china cup and
2 Polaroid cameras still in their boxes at goodwill.

how was your weekend?

weekend adventures

I spent last weekend playing in the leaves
with these 5 little cutiepies
at my Mom and Dad's farm.

logan.isaac.carter.evan.annie

aren't they the most adorable stair step kids?
they can be their own basketball team.

and I got Annie a tutu which she insisted on wearing right away.

I love spending the day with their little faces.
100 percent smiles and sunshine.
