my favorite things about June 

Its been just as fabulous as May so far.

It's been crazy hot, and we need rain like no other. 

when I say we, I mean my dad, and his fields of corn 

June makes me wish I was a teacher so I could have summer vacations again. I would fill my days with picnics, ice cream sandwiches, and naps in the sunshine.

yes i know. It's not December anymore. And its not even cold out here today. (44 degrees). But I really had my heart set on naming a blog post Decembrrr so here it it.

a few things I forgot to blog about in December

Ugly Christmas Sweaters. Mine had a wreath and a cat and puffy paint. I wore it home on Christmas day and got absolutely no reaction from my mom and dad. I guess they're used to me dressing a little "quirky".

Ford Escapes don't recognize me as a person in the front seat. it's weird. maybe i should get a car seat...

scout is extra adorable with her cindy lou who / i love Christmas headband on.

my favorite man in the whole world turned 60 the day after Christmas.

so of course I woke him up with cinnamin rolls and my horrible singing.

happy Birthday Dad :) You're the youngest 60 year old i know!

I hate being sick. 

And this week I have strep throat which is no fun for anyone.

Except for Scout because she got to lay around with me all day.

so yesterday I went to the worlds longest doctor's visit and got an antibiotic

(why do they call it a rapid strep test? )

then I went and bought myself some get well soon donuts

and a gallon of lemon berry squeeze

Today I accidentally ate a whole bag of candy corn for breakfast.

I'm pretty sure I deserved it though.

Is anyone else really excited about Halloween candy being out already??

August Break 2011

does anyone else associate every child memory with what kind of car or truck their parents were driving? 

i.e.  blue Buick (when Michael shoved an Elfkin cookie up my nose) or silver Lincoln (where dad let me eat McNuggets on a Lent Friday) , and the brown Mercury (hitting  two cows with Mom).

Red and black Chevy (getting my first ticket- it didn't have seatbelts)

Pappy's blue and white Ford (flying down backroads and hitting every bump)

I'm kind of boring now

I have been doing a whole lot of nothing on the weekends.

lots of qt with the scouters
 lunch dates with my dad
loving up my bed and watching trashy reality tv

and redecorating the blog 

i'm a little bit in love with my new banner

so I had a birthday

My birthday was on the 3rd

(the perfect day for a birthday because you never have to work the next day

not to mention the fireworks)

and my friends are amazing.

and then I spent most of the 4th in bed with the Scouters

she thinks she's a bunny sometimes

so I moved out

I haven't been on here in awhile but life has been a little bit crazy.

The boyf and I have parted ways after 4 years

and I hate moving. 

poor scout is confused about where she is.

she has doggie anxiety

and she gained a cat as a roommate.

they haven't met yet. we need to work on making them love each other.

any tips on making a cat and dog get along?

but on a brighter note I have the most amazing friends in the world

and they make everything a little more happy.
