DecemBRRRR

yes i know. It's not December anymore. And its not even cold out here today. (44 degrees). But I really had my heart set on naming a blog post Decembrrr so here it it.

my year in review
{go here to see it bigger}
made with Amy Jaz's super cute Fresh Start kit.

a few things I forgot to blog about in December

Ugly Christmas Sweaters. Mine had a wreath and a cat and puffy paint. I wore it home on Christmas day and got absolutely no reaction from my mom and dad. I guess they're used to me dressing a little "quirky".

Ford Escapes don't recognize me as a person in the front seat. it's weird. maybe i should get a car seat...

scout is extra adorable with her cindy lou who / i love Christmas headband on.

my favorite man in the whole world turned 60 the day after Christmas.
so of course I woke him up with cinnamin rolls and my horrible singing.
happy Birthday Dad :) You're the youngest 60 year old i know!

next post I'll act like its 2012...

sunday dinner

I think that Sunday dinners with the family are perfect way to start your week. (yes I think Sunday in the 1st day of the week, is that weird?). Spending the day with my family makes Monday seem less daunting. My sister was home from Arizona over the weekend and my mom made baked steak {and mashed potatoes, noodles, cole slaw, green beans} Then my dad, who loathes getting his picture taken, decided he wanted a family photo. Watch out, hell might freeze over later this week...

My brother looks pumped, huh? check out his chops.

I got picked to be on Amy Jaz's creative team this weekend, (super excited about that!)
and I am loving her new kit Candycane Lane. That red and blue chevron print was an instant favorite.
You can see her store here at the-lilypad.
{check out here super easy and cute Christmas card templates!}

so that was my Sunday;  sitting around reading the Weird Ohio book with my Dad and Uncle Dave and admiring my Mom's tree I put up last weekend, snacking on Snickers pie my Aunt Crystal brought over, and watching my sister watch 3 football games at once (tv, laptop, kindle).

the ice skating Claus's always get front and center branch reservations.

how was your weekend?

Digi scrap is my new crack

 what the hell is digital scrapbooking?
yeah that's what I said in August.
Now I'm addicted.
Its fun, and crafty, minus the glue and glitter stuck to your fingers.
my ocd loves it.

{thelilypad is my new love}

a note to my Mammaw

my sea star

annie and her adorableness

i miss this

pretty crumpled papers, fabric scraps, paint splotches, doodles that look better than any real doodle i've ever doodled. whats not to love?

the stuff i love

I live for Christmas
I get it from my Mammie
she puts up 10 plus Christmas trees.
I only have 2 this year.
and they are both artificial thanks to my Christmas tree {mold}allergy.

yup, I've been killing Christmas since 1982. {in the words of my sister}

my vintage tree
all the ornaments are from my Mammie and Mam-maw

and my fun size tree
with wax paper stars and  rag garland.

do you have your decorations up yet?
I am still in new house mode and I am petrified of putting holes in the walls
or making any other hasty decor decisions so we don't have alot of stuff up this year.

whoville

some super randomness.
Christmas is soon and my ADD is in full effect.

this wallet was an early Christmas present
 for myself from Target.
it meshes well with my mustard yellow bag.

buying one of these witty totes for my momma.
 charming shop and blog!

"patience is a virtue, of which i have none"
(true story)

i am currently obsessed with the giant cookies you can buy at the gas station.
they are yummy and fun and the perfect mid day sugar rush.

Cindy Lou Who had the best wardrobe  (and kick ass braids)
 in How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
pom poms on her coat and red tights.
 how did I not know that Taylor Momsen played Cindy Lou?

Going to pick Wynter Dawn up from the airport tonight.
I wish she was flying into Whoville because it looks like a damn good time.
